How to use
- Drag and drop PDF files or click to choose them. When you select multiple PDFs, their pages are added to the page list in the order they're loaded.
- In the page list, reorder pages by drag and drop or the arrow buttons, fix orientation with the rotate buttons, and delete pages you don't need.
- "Merge & reorder" exports a single PDF that matches the page list. "Split" splits by page ranges (e.g. 1-3, 4-6) or every N pages, and "Extract pages" combines only the pages you specify (e.g. 1, 3, 5-7) into one PDF.
- Click the download button to save the processed PDF (or a ZIP when a split produces multiple files).
About this tool
The PDF merge, split & extract tool lets you organize PDFs such as invoices, contracts, and scanned documents without installing dedicated software. Combine multiple PDFs into one, break a long PDF into chapters, or pull out just the pages you need to share — all in your browser.
You can freely try reordering, rotating, and deleting pages in the page list before exporting. Rotation is added to each page's original orientation in 90° steps, and page content (text, images, links, and so on) is copied into the new PDF as-is without recompression, so quality and text searchability are preserved.
Everything from loading to exporting happens entirely in your browser. Unlike online PDF merging services, there's no need to upload your files, so you can safely work with confidential or personal documents. Note that password-protected (encrypted) PDFs are not supported.
Frequently asked questions
How do I specify page ranges?
Use a hyphen for ranges like "1-3" and commas to separate multiple entries like "1, 3, 5". "7-" means page 7 to the end, and "-3" means the first page through page 3. In Split, each comma-separated range becomes a separate PDF; in Extract pages, all specified pages are combined into one PDF.
Will quality drop or text become unsearchable?
No. Page content is copied as-is without recompression or rasterization, so image quality and text selection/search are preserved.
Can I use password-protected PDFs?
Encrypted PDFs are not supported. Remove the password in a PDF viewer and save the file again before loading it.
Are PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. Loading, merging, splitting, and exporting are all handled by JavaScript in your browser, and nothing is sent externally.
